Dear Latin learners,
Now, per aspera, ad astra… We have now left the astra behind! Today we are starting a new topic: WATER!
Water can be found in many different ways in nature: rivers, wells, sea… Let´s see how to express some of those terms in Latin in this first delivery:
NATURA 4
fons, fontis: well, spring.
aquae, -ae: water.
flumen, -inis: river. An alternative form is «fluvius,-ii», a second declension noun.
amnis, amnis: tributary river or small stream of water.
